Snippets is an application I coded for the SciVerse platform. The app works within ScienceDirect’s collection of electronic journals.

Easily take and save snippets from the different articles you are reading. Highlighting text in your article while in ‘snippet’ mode will import that text into the application. Snippets are formatted under the article’s citation in MLA, APA, or APA formats. A link to the article is also available. These snippets can be either directly copy and pasted, or exported to Google Docs for easy sharing with colleagues.
